Specifies the search engine and its corresponding configuration.
検索エンジンおよびその設定を指定します。
Displays the available search engines. Select a search engine to display its configuration in the adjacent text and option boxes.
使用可能な検索エンジンが表示されます。 検索エンジンを選択すると、その設定が隣のテキストボックスとオプションボックス内に表示されます。
Displays the name of the selected search engine. This is the name that will be shown in the sub-menu of the Search icon on the Hyperlink bar.
選択した検索エンジンの名前が表示されます。 この名前は、「ハイパーリンク」バーの 検索 アイコンのサブメニューに表示されます。
Sets the advanced search preferences (and, or, exact) as well as the way the results are defined and displayed.
結果の定義、表示方法および詳細な検索設定 (AND、OR、EXACT) を設定します。

This text box displays the URL and the first part of the query command for a search machine. A URL can also be typed directly.
このテキストボックスには、検索エンジンの URL と、クエリーコマンドの最初の部分が表示されます。URL を直接入力することもできます。
The search terms are passed between the prefix and the suffix.The suffix provides the command sequence, sent at the end of a search.
プレフィックスとサフィックスの間に検索用語が入力されます。サフィックスにより、1 つの検索コマンドを終了させるために送信されるコマンドシーケンスが使用できるようになります。
If you type more than one word while running a search, these words will be separated by the character specified here. Most search engines require the "+" character.

To determine which prefixes, separators and suffixes to use when defining a new search engine:
新規に検索エンジンを登録する際の、プレフィックス、区切り記号、サフィックスを指定します。
Activate the search engine and perform a search with at least two words.
検索エンジンを呼び出して、検索語句を２つ以上指定した上で検索を開始します。
Copy the URL from your browser's URL field and paste it into a blank document.
ブラウザの URL フィールドに表示されている URL をコピーし、空白のドキュメントに貼り付けます。
Change the conditions for the search in the search engine, if it offers you the choice.
クエリー条件が選択できる場合は、検索エンジンのクエリ条件を変更します。
Again, copy the contents of the URL field.
もう一度 URL ボックスの内容をコピーします。
Compare the URLs with the sample URLs in the fields of this dialog and make a note of the prefixes, suffixes and separators used.
このダイアログからコピーできる URL と、例にあげた URL を比較すると、ある条件でのプレフィックス、サフィックスおよび区切り記号がわかります。
Determines the case match for running a search. The list contains the following entries: None, Upper and Lower. The search terms entered are converted according to your selection.
検索の実行時に大文字と小文字のどちらに一致させるかを指定します。 リストで選択可能なオプションは、なし、大文字、小文字です。ここで選択したオプションに応じて、入力した検索対象の単語が変換されます。
Search engines handle queries differently according to the way they are constructed. For example, some are case sensitive and some are not. Because of this, it is best to select None as the case match option.
多くの検索エンジンは書き方によって異なった反応を示します。AltaVista に検索語を小文字で入力すると、大文字と小文字に関係なくあらゆる単語を見つけてきます。一方、検索語が大文字だけからなる場合は、文字の位置も含め全く同一の単語しか検索結果がでません。AltaVista では書き方を変換しない(なし)にしておくことをお勧めします。
Use this button to include a new search engine.New deletes all important entries of the entry mask such as "Name" and "Suffix". Enter the new search engine together with all of the necessary details. As soon as you accept your entries with Add, the new search engine will appear in the search engine list under Search in. Close the dialog with the OK button.
このボタンを使って新しい検索エンジンを含めます。新規作成 をクリックすると、「名前」や「サフィックス」など、主要なマスク項目がすべて削除されます。新しい検索エンジンの情報と、必要な詳細をすべて入力します。追加 をクリックして入力した項目を確定すると、検索場所 の検索エンジンのリストに新しい検索エンジンが表示されます。OK ボタンをクリックしてダイアログを閉じます。
Click this button to add a new configuration to the list.
このボタンをクリックすると、新規作成した設定がリストに追加されます。
Click this button to apply the modifications made to an existing configuration.
設定を変更したら、このボタンを押して変更を確定します。
Click this button to delete the selected search engine from the list. There will be no security response.
このボタンをクリックすると、リストから選択した検索エンジンが削除されます。セキュリティ関連の応答はありません。
